Grants

By May 31 of each year, the United Methodist Foundation of Western Pennsylvania awards a limited number of grants to churches or agencies of the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference. Through these awards of grant dollars and Foundation staff time, we seek to enhance and expand the ministries of Conference churches and agencies. The ultimate goal of these awards is to provide sufficient counsel such that these ministries become self-sustaining.

United Methodist Foundation of Western Pennsylvania grants are made only for programs and activities — including operating expenses and supplies necessary for those programs or activities. Foundation grants are not made for building repair, replacement, or expansion. The maximum amount of each grant is $5,000, and applications are due to the Foundation offices by the last Friday in March of each calendar year.
