Financial Planning Seminars

The United Methodist Foundation of Western Pennsylvania
offers a range of seminars for clergy members of the Western
Pennsylvania Annual Conference to enhance their understanding of
financial planning principles. These seminars cross the spectrum
of the clergy experience. Included are:

Clergy Financial Planning Seminar — Mid-career clergy living in
parsonages are often burdened with high educational debt, and
could benefit from assistance in charting their own financial plan.
This seminar for clergy and their spouses helps address relevant financial
planning and debt management topics.

Probationers’ Seminar — Intended for new pastors and their spouses,
this seminar focuses on personal and professional risk management,
taxes, and life insurance. Also included is a comprehensive description
of the United Methodist Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and the
services we offer.

Clergy Housing Seminar — This seminar addresses topics specifically
related to housing issues of interest to clergy approaching retirement age.
Topics include investing for retirement, clergy tax advantages, finding and
financing a home, and making an offer and closing on a home.
