In 1970, the United Methodist Foundation was created as a nonprofit corporation to serve the churches, agencies, clergy, and individuals of the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church as they participate in the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ.

We offer our services as:
Advisors for individuals who, through their giving, want to establish or continue ministries of The United Methodist Church
Conductors of educational and stewardship programs in local churches
Consultants for church-related capital campaigns
Providers of funds management services for permanent, endowed funds benefiting United Methodist causes
Guides for individuals or groups establishing endowments

We act in accordance with our Mission Statement and a Funds Management Approach that is based on a Biblical, theologically sound form of Christian stewardship. This approach has resulted in careful investments and steady growth and return.

A 30-member Board of Directors, comprised of United Methodist pastors and lay representatives of the legal, financial, and corporate communities in western Pennsylvania, governs both policy and operations of the Foundation.

Our Executive Director, our Director of Programs, and our Administrative Assistant carry out the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. When required, other professionals on our staff provide specialized skills to assist them.

At the United Methodist Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, we want to be the people whom you trust for these services.

A brochure, Funding Our Journey of Faith, that describes the Foundation is available for your use. If you would like to receive a copy, please contact us.
